Curriculum

Seven Core Topics

Each session covers a different core technology topic. The full series gives participants a comprehensive foundation for confident, independent technology use.

Personal Device Setup & Optimization

iPhone, iPad, Mac, Windows PC setup, data migration, password manager setup, email configuration, and accessibility improvements.

Teaching & Tutoring Fundamentals

One-on-one instruction paced to you, breaking abstract tech concepts into normal language, building confidence for users who feel anxious around technology.

Troubleshooting & Workflow Cleanup

Slow computers, confusing settings, account problems, syncing issues, printing and scanning workflows, and pattern recognition for recurring problems.

Digital Life Organization

Passwords, account recovery, app cleanup, home-screen organization, cloud storage, file/folder structure, email clutter reduction, and practical digital paperwork management.

Safety, Scam Awareness & Digital Confidence

Phishing awareness, fake pop-up recognition, safe password habits, account security basics, and learning the 'pause, verify, then act' approach.

Smart Devices & Home-Tech Guidance

WiFi basics and network simplification, smart speakers, cameras, routers, accessories, and honest advice on what's worth buying.

AI Teaching & Practical Modern Tools

Introduction to ChatGPT, Gemini, Manus, Claude, and other AI tools. Prompt-writing for everyday life, AI for writing, summarizing, planning, and understanding AI boundaries and privacy.

Little Falls Village

Little Falls Village is a community organization in Bethesda that helps older adults age in place with dignity and connection. Chris is proud to partner with them to bring technology education to their members through a series of seven in-person group sessions.

Potomac Village Library

The Potomac Village Library will host the same seven-topic series in person, free of charge, starting in April. These sessions are open to the community — no membership or registration fee required.
